that is what we tentatively have planned. we won't be able to do everything on the list because we only have 4 full days plus our arrival day. i want your input! what should we do! and is there other good restaurants we should try? (i have a confession to make though. i kind of am pretty darn picky. so i tend to like things less exotic and extreme.)

can't wait to have wagamama with you & your mum & do the london eye!
one of the places i remember liking was the cafe at the tower of london. we had some really good bread and soup there.
Max - it's your English chum Maaaaaaaartin here. Am liking your list of stuff to do in LONDON - if you only have four days, you are going to struggle to fit in much more! If you're in Greenwich anyway you could try to check out the 02 arena - http://www.theo2.co.uk/ - there's always something on there but it's an amazing piece of architecture just to walk around (it used to be called the Millenium Dome).
Now of course, the important thing with food is not to get stuck in the tourist-y places - otherwise the fish and chips will taste like bird vomit. You need to find an authentic 'chippy' that isn't in one of the main tourist streets.
You also must eat a curry. Indian food is the national food of England (yes, I know what I just said, but it's true) and you should go into a curry house and order the following:
Poppadoms and chutney
One chicken or lamb korma
or
One chicken tikka massalla
with
Pilau rice
Naan bread
This is the food of Heaven itself, my man. If you want the most amazing curry, you need to go to Brick Lane - otherwise just go anywhere.
You can go into a pub - most pubs will let you in during the day. You may not be allowed most of the drinks though... Pub food is often very good though, but don't order the fish and chips there. Get the steak and ale pie (don't worry dad, there's not much ale in it) but don't order steak and kidney WHATEVER YOU DO!!!
Oh, you should go to Buckingham Palace too. Not to eat, obviously, but you never know - you might see her majesty. Then you can walk down the mall to Trafalgar Square, and you're bang in the middle of central London.
Above all, HAVE A FANTASTIC TIME. Plus, there are only about 65 million people here, so I'll probably bump into you.
Love to the family
Martin
PS: Good work for respecting your mother. As Mr T would say: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_rBidCkJxo
Max! You must, MUST, MUST!!! go to Covent Garden, and perhaps Chinatown, which is right beside it. If you don't go to Covent Garden for a little bit, in my opinion you have wasted your trip. It's AWESOME!!! For the full experience go on a Friday or Saturday, there are loads of street performers, market stalls with wacky things etc... If you have to cancel something from your list, my vote would be the London Museum, not that great in my opinion. Have an awesome trip dude.
well max, I have NEVER been to London, but I have been to Wagamama and I like Mindi, Jeannie and yourself quite a lot.. so that sounds like fun.
I think you can probably go into the pub, but they may well frown if you try and order a guinness. although a pub might be a good place to get some bangers and mash.
have heaps and heaps and heaps of fun !!!!!
thanks maaaaaaaartin. i haven't tried indian food that much, and so i wasn't going to have it, and my mom couldn't convince me. but you have, chum!
p.s. would a mother's bottom in britain be called a mum-bum?
jonny -- is it more important to go to covent garden in the day, or at night (on friday or saturday)?
